Zagreb, Croatia – In a significant diplomatic move, Croatian President Zoran Milanovic has firmly rejected the appointment of the Zionist regime’s proposed ambassador to Zagreb, citing the “policies pursued by the current Israeli authorities” as the primary reason.

The President’s office declared on Monday, “The proposed Ambassador of the State of Israel has not received, nor will he receive, the consent of the President of the Republic Zoran Milanović.” This unprecedented decision marks the first time in Croatia’s history that a president has withheld approval for an ambassadorial nomination.

Milanovic, a vocal critic of the Zionist regime’s brutal and genocidal war on Gaza, revealed that he had initially refrained from public comment in adherence to diplomatic norms. However, he asserted that the Zionist entity itself had violated “unwritten rules” by prematurely announcing its proposed ambassador before securing consent.

The Zionist regime’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as reported by The Times of Israel, stated it was “working with its Croatian counterparts to resolve the matter,” a clear indication of the diplomatic fallout from Milanovic’s principled stand.

Tensions between Croatia and the occupying regime have escalated amidst the Zionist military aggression in Gaza and its destabilizing actions across the broader Middle East.

Earlier in February, President Milanovic demonstrated his unwavering stance by announcing that Croatian armed forces would not cooperate with the Zionist army, explicitly condemning their “unacceptable actions and unprecedented trampling of” international humanitarian law. Furthermore, in March, he denounced the US-Zionist war on Iran, warning of potential “economic damage” and long-term consequences from attempts at regime change in Tehran.

Nissan Amdur, intended to replace Ambassador Gary Koren, will now reportedly assume the role of a charge d’affaires, a position that bypasses the need for presidential approval. This workaround highlights the Zionist regime’s desperation to maintain a presence despite the diplomatic rebuff.

Sources close to the Zionist entity, attempting to discredit Milanovic, labeled him a “problematic political figure who in the not-so-distant past made clearly anti-Israel and antisemitic remarks.” Such accusations often serve as a tactic to silence legitimate criticism of the Zionist regime’s policies.

President Milanovic, whose left-wing party holds views divergent from Croatia’s conservative government which supports the Zionist entity, underscored that “granting or withholding of consent for proposed ambassadors is a sovereign right of” the president. This assertion reaffirms Croatia’s independent foreign policy decisions in the face of regional and international pressures.

Despite the president’s limited executive power, the confirmation of ambassadorial appointments remains firmly within his domain, allowing him to exercise crucial oversight on diplomatic relations.
