In a dangerous escalation of its ongoing aggression, the Zionist regime’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has brazenly ordered the Israeli military to intensify its brutal strikes against the Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah, with the stated aim to “crush” the group. This provocative declaration, made via Telegram, signals a clear intent to further destabilize the region and disregard international norms.

Netanyahu’s extremist rhetoric, declaring “We are at war with Hezbollah, and we will intensify our strikes,” aligns disturbingly with the warmongering calls from his far-right coalition partners, who openly advocate for a wider, more destructive military conflict. This move comes despite a previously agreed-upon ceasefire with Lebanon, which was recently extended, exposing the Zionist entity’s contempt for diplomatic solutions and peace efforts.

Unleashing Terror: Attacks on Civilian Areas and Forbidden Munitions

Immediately following Netanyahu’s inflammatory statements, the Israeli military launched a barrage of attacks targeting civilian infrastructure in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley and other regions. The Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported a horrifying exodus of residents from the southern suburbs of Beirut, a densely populated area and a stronghold of the resistance, as families fled in fear of the impending Zionist onslaught.

These latest acts of aggression coincided with Lebanon’s Liberation Day, a poignant commemoration of the Zionist occupation forces’ humiliating withdrawal from southern Lebanon in 2000 after 18 years of brutal occupation. This timing underscores the Zionist regime’s persistent hostility and its refusal to acknowledge the sovereignty and resilience of the Lebanese people.

The aggression included devastating attacks on the districts of Tyre and Nabatieh, claiming the lives of four innocent civilians and injuring three others in Kfar Reman. Residential buildings and a Shia Muslim community center in Nabatieh’s al-Midan neighbourhood were severely damaged, highlighting the indiscriminate nature of the Zionist attacks.

Furthermore, NNA reported the abhorrent use of incendiary phosphorus munitions by Israeli aircraft on the forests of Qlailah municipality, igniting fires in vital citrus groves and farmlands. The use of such internationally condemned weapons in populated areas represents a grave war crime and a blatant disregard for human life and the environment.

Calls for Genocide: Extremist Ministers Demand Wider War

The Zionist regime’s aggression is fueled by its extremist elements. Following the death of an Israeli soldier in southern Lebanon – a direct consequence of their own military presence in sovereign Lebanese territory – two of Netanyahu’s far-right ministers openly called for a resumption of bombing Beirut.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, a known extremist, chillingly declared, “For every explosive drone, 10 buildings must fall in Beirut,” advocating for collective punishment and widespread destruction. He also boasted about a massive budget allocation for “technological solutions” to counter resistance drones, revealing the regime’s focus on military escalation over peace.

Equally disturbing, Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir demanded a return to an “intense war” in Lebanon, calling for the “cutting off electricity in Lebanon” and the “conquering of Dahiyeh.” Such genocidal rhetoric exposes the true, barbaric intentions of the Zionist leadership and their desire to inflict maximum suffering on the Lebanese population.

Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health has tragically reported that the Zionist regime has killed 3,185 people since its state of open war with Hezbollah began on March 2, a stark testament to the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe inflicted by the occupying forces.
