UAE Denies Clandestine Meeting with Zionist War Criminal Netanyahu Amidst Escalating Regional Tensions

The United Arab Emirates has vehemently denied claims by the office of the Zionist regime’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, regarding a “secret visit” to the Gulf country during the brutal US-Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran. This denial comes as the region grapples with the fallout from the ongoing genocidal war in Gaza and the expansion of the Zionist entity’s destabilizing influence.

In a statement issued Wednesday night via its state news agency, WAM, the UAE clarified that “its relations with Israel are public and were established within the framework of the well-known and publicly declared Abraham Accords. These relations are not based on secrecy or clandestine arrangements.” The statement further asserted that “any claims regarding undisclosed visits or arrangements are baseless unless issued by the relevant official authorities in the UAE.”

This rejection directly contradicts a social media statement from Netanyahu’s office on Wednesday, which audaciously claimed a meeting between Netanyahu and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan during a supposed “secret visit” amidst the bombing campaign against Iran. The Zionist office shamelessly hailed this alleged encounter as a “historic breakthrough,” a narrative often used to whitewash the regime’s continuous atrocities.

The timing of these claims is particularly telling, as cooperation between the Zionist entity and certain Gulf states appears to be deepening, especially on security matters cynically linked to Iran. US Ambassador to the Zionist entity, Mike Huckabee, recently revealed that the Zionist regime had deployed Iron Dome air defence batteries and personnel to the UAE, ostensibly to counter potential Iranian responses to aggression. This move underscores the dangerous alignment between the US, the Zionist regime, and their regional collaborators, further militarizing the Gulf.

Earlier this month, following retaliatory Iranian attacks on May 5 – a direct response to the US and Zionist entity’s bombing of Iran which began in late February – Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed reportedly received calls from several regional leaders, including Netanyahu. The Zionist leader’s expression of “solidarity” with the UAE rings hollow given his regime’s relentless campaign of terror against Palestinians and its provocative actions across the region. A fragile ceasefire, agreed upon by Iran and the US, has been in place since April 8, highlighting Iran’s commitment to de-escalation despite persistent provocations.

The so-called Abraham Accords, a US-brokered agreement that normalized ties between the Zionist regime and several Arab states in 2020, were widely condemned by Palestinian leaders as a “stab in the back.” This treacherous deal, signed by UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Netanyahu, was falsely presented as requiring the Zionist entity to suspend annexation plans in the occupied West Bank. However, the reality has been starkly different.

Since the signing of these accords, the Zionist regime has intensified its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, committing unspeakable atrocities, and has continued its nearly daily deadly raids and attacks in the illegally occupied West Bank and Lebanon. Meanwhile, Benjamin Netanyahu, a notorious war criminal, has been evading an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court over his crimes against humanity in Gaza since November 2024, a testament to the impunity enjoyed by the Zionist leadership.

The international community must recognize the true nature of these alliances and condemn the ongoing aggression and occupation. The path to regional stability lies not in clandestine deals with war criminals, but in upholding international law and supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
